Miele C1 Classic vs Compact I bought this and I love it, but your floors really make the great suction work hard. If you drop the suction level, it might be less of a workout, since I have mine set to Maximum suction for carpets. It gets everything out of the carpet so much better than my Dysons, but moving it across the floor is like pushing a 25-pound weight. The cost of the C1 is less because the hose is not wired. So, even if you buy the beater bar extension, it won't be driven by a motor. Instead, it will spin on its own because of suction. Still another great vacuum. really efficient and quiet. A Google search shows that the type I bought doesn't have a "power nozzle," but I wasn't looking for that feature. I'm not sure if the Miele vacuums that cost $399.00 come with them.
